Editorial Governance

World Nutrition is governed by an internationally diverse and highly qualified editorial leadership and board that represent broad expertise across public health nutrition, clinical nutrition, epidemiology, food systems, the social sciences, public policy, and community health. All editors and board members serve in a voluntary capacity, ensuring editorial independence, academic integrity, and global equity in scholarly publishing.

The journal adheres to internationally recognised editorial governance standards, including those of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), and the DOAJ Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing.

Editorial Roles and Responsibilities

Members of the editorial leadership and board are responsible for:

  • Upholding international standards of editorial integrity and publication ethics
  • Managing rigorous and impartial peer review
  • Advising on journal scope, policy, and strategic development
  • Promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and geographic representation
  • Supporting capacity building in scholarly publishing

Conflict of Interest & Ethics Oversight
All editors and board members are required to declare conflicts of interest annually and recuse themselves from editorial decisions where potential conflicts exist. Ethical oversight follows COPE best-practice guidelines, ensuring transparency, accountability, and integrity in editorial decision-making.
