The effect of COVID-19 lockdown on nutritional and learning needs of children in Ghana: A perspective

Matthew Yosah Konlan has an early career in research and has academic training in nursing and public health (major: population, family& reproductive health). Hi research interests draw on maternal, newborn and child nutrition, complementary food hygiene, and how populations in institutions, communities and societies are affected by the food environment. He has been involved in several local, national and international works inlcuding the 2020 comprehensive food security and vulnerability assessment in Ghana.

Dr. Abiwu has academic training in medicine, administration and public health. He is presently the Deputy Director Public Health in the northern region of Ghana, leading the planning, design and implementation of public health programs in the region. He has a special interest in maternal, newborn and child health and has been leading the advocacy on childhood immunizations and nutrition
